Intermec CN70 Troubleshooting tips

Problem 1:

PC running Windows XP.

Intermec CN70 will not

install/connect.

Solution 1

: Microsoft ActiveSync software (Free online download from Microsoft)

must be installed on the Windows XP computer. ActiveSync allows the CN70 to
connect and also allows the user to browse the scanner files, etc.

Problem 2

: PC running Windows 7 (or Vista) will not recognize the Intermec CN70

scanner.

Solution 2

Ensure the Intermec CN70 scanner is set up to enable advance network
functionality by following these steps:



Power on the Intermec CN70 scanner



On the scanner’s desktop screen, utilizing the Stylus wand, press the
“Start” button located in the top left corner.



From the start menu select “Settings”.



Select the “Connections” Tab at the bottom right hand side of the
Settings screen.



Select the “Connections” icon in the Settings screen.



Select the “USB to PC” icon. Ensure the check box beside “Enable
advance network functionality” is checked and select “Ok”.
