INSTALLATION AND SETUP

 

The Ul App Camera Installation Wizard makes adding cameras to your smart home system easy.  Prior 
to beginning the camera setup identify a location to place or mount your camera that provides you with a desirable 
viewing area to see potential intruders or regular home activities, and is located near a power outlet.  Ideal 
camera locations provide visibility to a primary entrance or a common area used to access other parts of your 
home.

  

Connect the power the supply to the camera and plug it into an outlet, it will take 3 or 4 minutes to fully 

boot up. 

  

Add and connect an Indoor Wi-Fi Camera by going to the Ul App browser, log into the Installer site, select 
Menu, and then select New Device Setup, select New Camera, then follow the camera installation Wizard step by 
step directions.  Your new camera installation will be completed in minutes.  

As you proceed thru the Camera 

Wizard do not change the User Name and Password, since you are being

 

provided with temporary Installer 

privileges.  Also if a camera does not connect with your Smart Hub on the first attempt, please re-try connecting

.  

   

Complete the camera settings while logged into the Installer site.  Go to the Overview page, from the menu bar 
top 

left 

select Settings, Settings Selector drop down menu select Cameras and Done, and a list of the following 

options will be displayed for each camera.  We recommend selecting all options, scroll to top, press save, and 
then test the system to determine which features fits your needs.
- Send Chime On Button Press
- Send Notification On Button Press
- Trigger Video Clip On Button Press
- Sound Chime On Motion
- Send Notification On Motion
- Trigger Video Clip On Motion

After completing the camera set up exit the Installer site and log into your Site to view real-time video and video 
clips

. Go to

 the Ul 

App 

Overview page and select

 

the Camera icon at the bottom of the page.

  

Click the 

button to view your most recent video clip, and then press 

the 

Arrow icon bottom right to save the Clip to your 

phone or forward via text or email.  Select the 

Red

utton to initiate the recording of a ten second video Clip 

(select the Settings icon to change the length of clips, default is 10 seconds)

.  Press the Settings icon to access 

settings for each camera, it is recommended that you turn on the Enable Audio and Enable Motion Detection by 
pressing the button, turns green and slides to right, scroll to 

the 

top 

and 

press Done to save.

ed Video Clips by logging into your Site, from the Overview page select the Menu bar top 

left, select History, and a list of events will be displayed that may include Video Events, which is a Video Clip, and 
Video Motion, which indicates the date and time the camera detected motion.  Select a Video Event / Clip, then view, 
save to your phone, or send via text or email.  Select the Filter icon on the top right of the History page to filter events 
displayed in the list.  Select start date, and events to view including security, video, area, user, and sensor.  

Finally, if you want to move the camera for a different view, just unplug, place in a desirable location, plug into a power 
outlet, and the camera will automatically re-connect to your Smart Hub.
