14.4  Establishing a Telnet Connection 

Establish a TELNET connection via the factory-set IP address. A login can be performed after connection 
setup. 

Log in by entering the user name 

root

 and the default password 

Haydnstr 

(note exact spelling). The user 

then has access to the consoles and Linux commands. 

 

 

15  Touch Screen 

Using the touch screen of the device, you can easily perform a booking or view account values. 

   

  Make sure that the touch screen does not come into contact with other electrical equipment. Electrostatic 

discharges may cause malfunctions. 

  Make sure that the touch screen does not come into contact with liquids. Moisture or contact with liquids 

may cause malfunctions. 

  To ensure optimal functioning of the touch screen, remove the protective film from the display before 

using the device for the first time. 

The touch screen has a layer that detects small electrical discharges, such as those emitted by the human 
body. Touch the screen with your fingertip. The touch screen does not respond when touched with a sharp 
object such as a stylus. 

 

16  Proximity Sensor 

The terminal is equipped with a proximity sensor. If the terminal is not in use, it switches to (power-saving) 
sleep mode. When someone approaches the terminal, it wakes up and is immediately available.
