2. Intended use
MAGICLINE is exclusively meant as a functional support of the patient’s sitting
posture within the scope of a seat shell supply� MAGICLINE can be mounted to
wheel chairs and underframes�
3. Applications
This sitting aid is applied by patients whose taking of a sitting posture is aggra-
vated or disturbed in a physiological sense or impossible due to anatomic modi-
fications, because the interrelationship between pelvis and spine has functional
deficits either by hereditary or acquired deformation of the posture apparatus
(bony or joint structures) or hereditary or acquired insufficiencies of the locomo-
tor system, pelvis and/or spine� Loss of body functions by spasticity, athetosis,
paraplegia, plegiae, hypertonies, hypotony, all muscular diseases, e�g� muscu-
lar dystrophy, skeleton abnormalities and loss of extremities, all neurological
diseases as well as all forms of mental handicaps� Compensation of distinct
abnormal sitting postures and / or sitting posture instabilities� Permitting per-
manent painless sitting in physiological posture� In case of considerably reduced
or missing stability of the trunk or distinct trunk deformity corrected or relieved
sitting becomes possible�
4. Basic equipment
MAGICLINE is adapted individually to the patient and delivered premounted� After
the removal of the transport packing you can use your new MAGICLINE immedi-
ately� If applicable, the accessories or options must be mounted in compliance
with instructions in the section „Optional equipment”�
