3. Installation
Open the sensor by removing the back cover and insert the battery, then choose the location where the sensor will be
installed. Once chosen, use double-sided tape or screws for attachment. If you are going to use the double-sided tape, stick
it on the back cover of the sensor, done that, attach the two parts in the place where you want to protect, observing the
correct position of the sensor (Figure 2 / Figure 3). If using screws, just open the two parts of the sensor, and the location
of the screw will be indicated (Figure 1).

The sensor must be positioned according to figures 2 and 3, with the magnet alig-
ned with the sensor body and with the shortest possible distance between them,
so that the magnet is in contact with the magnetic field sensor.
Note:
for closing and opening the SMD magnetic field sensor, some average
distances must be respected.
»
Magnetic field sensor opening:
Move the magnet away an average dis-
tance of 20 mm (±10%).
»
Magnetic field sensor closing:
bring the magnet closer to an average dis-
tance of 15 mm (±10%).

4. Configuration
Register the sensor code in the control panel to be used (Check the procedure in the control panel manual). In order for
the sensor to transmit its code, trigger a trigger by moving the magnet away from the sensor, if the sensor is on a door for
example, just open it observing if the green LED will light up. If the LED lights up, it indicates that there was a trip (trans-
mission occurred), if not, check the battery.
Low battery sensor: The XAS Light / XAS Light Black has a battery level meter, if it is less than or equal to 2.55 V it will send the
information to the control panel and its LED will flash quickly in the opening indicating low sensor battery level. If the control
panel is Intelbras, the sensor low battery warning will be indicated on the product panel.
