10. Install the server system cover. For instructions, see “Installing the System Cover” .
11. Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable(s) into the server (see letter “D”
in the figure above).
Replacing the Front Panel Board
Your server must be operated with a front panel board installed.
Caution: The front panel board is NOT hot swappable. Before removing or replacing the front
panel board, you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices
connected to the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the
AC power cord from the system or wall outlet.
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See “Safety
Information” .
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power
cable(s).
3. Remove the front bezel if it is installed. For instructions, see “Removing the Front
Bezel” .
