6. Screw the bracket to the computer frame.
7. Configure the Serial ATA devices and install them in the host system computer case.
See the documentation for the Serial ATA device for any pre-installation configuration
requirements.
8. Connect the Serial ATA cables between the Intel
®
Raid Controller SRCS28X and the Serial
ATA devices. Chapter 4, “Intel® Raid Controller SRCS28X Characteristics,” shows the
connector locations on the Intel
®
Raid Controller SRCS28X.
9. Replace the computer cover and power up the system.
Replace the computer cover and reconnect the power cords. Turn power on to the computer.
The BIOS configuration utility prompt times out after several seconds. The second portion of
the BIOS message displays the number, firmware version and cache SDRAM size. The
numbering of the controller follows the PCI slot scanning order used by the motherboard.
