To get full advantage of the convenience of a hands-free transmission and the privacy of conversation, you can
purchase an optional external Earset-Microphone. Please do not use accessories other than the original ones
(please refer to the Optional Accessories list in this manual).
To use the Ear Bud:
1. Set your radio to VOX Mode.
2. Insert the Ear Bud Jack into the MIC/CHG.
3. Wear the Ear Bud and adjust the Microphone location.
Changing the TX Output Power
Your radio has a
Hi/Low Power
selection function to set the TX Power for PMR Band. To select the output power on
the PMR Band :
1. Enter
to
Menu
mode. Advance through the Menu until the “
Pr
” icon appears on the LCD Display.
2. Press
the
Up
or
Down
key to set the Power to
Hi
or
Low
.
3. To exit the Menu, press
PTT
or
Call
key.
Note : this function is available only on the 8 PMR channels.
Setting the Key Tone Feature
The
Keypad Tone
of your radio can be activated and disabled according to your preference. To set the Key Tone :
1. Enter
to
Menu
mode. Advance through the Menu until the
tone icon (6)
appears on the display.
2. Press
the
Up
or
Down
key to toggle between On and Off function of the Key Beep Tone.
3. To exit the Menu, press
PTT
or
Call
key.
Setting the Roger Beep Tone Feature
Your radio is equipped with a user selectable
Roger Beep Tone feature
, which enables you to send a Beep Tone at
the end of each transmission after every release of the TALK key. This will prompt any receiving unit that your
transmission has ended.
1. Enter

Menu
mode. Advance through the Menu until the “
Roger Beep
” icon (7) appears on the display.
2. Press
the
Up
or
Down
key to toggle between On and Off function of the Roger Beep Tone.
3. To exit the Menu, press
PTT

Call
key.
Setting the Call Tone
Your radio is equipped with 3 user selectable
Call Tone
melodies. To set the desired Call Tone melody :
1. Enter

mode. Advance through the Menu until the “
CA
” icon appears on the display.
2. Press

Up
or
Down
key to toggle between 1~3 choices of Call Tone pattern.
3. To exit the Menu, press

Call
