BASIC UNIT
7 MISCELLANEOUS
As is implied by the topic, this section is intended for information that is not
readily covered by the other sections of this manual. The information is,
however, considered important or interesting enough to be included.
7.1 Reset
A master reset of the ”3100i” can be performed by temporarily shorting pins 7
and 8 of the 15 pin D-SUB connector. A master reset will erase the internal
program of the ”3100i”.
You will then have to re-boot the program from your computer. Rebooting is
done from Intab PC-logger software. Please consult your software manual for
details.
Bootable files have the extension .LDM. The Intab PC-logger software
automatically selects the correct one if there are several present on the disk.

7.2 Program
The program that controls the ”3100i” is stored in Random Access Memories
in the ”3100i” itself. This makes it possible to modify the way the ”3100i”
operates by simply downloading (or booting) a new controller program (see
7.1).
Bootable files reside on the same directory as your Intab PC-logger software.
They are recognised by the .LDM extension. These

different for different models of loggers. Your Intab logger software will
always select the one appropriate for your logger.
