BIOS
Basic Input Output System
BIOS is a set of programs that are solidified to the ROM chip of
a computer's mainboard. It is where the most basic yet
important input and output programs of a computer, Power On
Self Test program, and self-triggered programs are saved. It
can read/write system settings from the CMOS.
BMC
Baseboard Management Controller
As the core of the IPMI, BMC collects, processes, and stores sensor
signals, and monitors the running status of components. BMC
enables the chassis management module (MM) to manage
various objects by providing such information as hardware status
and alarm of the managed objects for the MM.
