Welcome
Congratulations on your purchase of a
high-quality Insignia product. Your NS-15CLTV
represents the state of the art in television and
DVD player design, and is designed for reliable
and trouble-free performance.
Safety information
Antenna connections
If an outside antenna is connected to the
television equipment, make sure that the
antenna system is grounded to provide
protection against voltage surges and built-up
static electricity charges. Section 810 of the
National Electrical Code provides information on
proper grounding of the mast and supporting
structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an
antenna discharge unit, size of the grounding
conductors, location of the antenna discharge
unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and
requirements for the grounding electrode.
•
For added protection during a lightning
storm, or when the product is left unattended
and unused for long periods of time, unplug it
from the power outlet and disconnect the
antenna. This will prevent damage to the
equipment due to lightning and power line
surges.
•
An outside antenna system should not be
located near overhead power lines or other
electric light or power circuits, or where it can
fall into such power lines or circuits. When
installing an outside antenna system,
extreme care should be taken to keep from
touching such power lines or circuits,
because contact with them can be fatal. this
