3. Connecting the NVS440R
NVS440R supports LAN, xDSL, and Cable modem. It also support shared IP network where single public IP
address is shared by many internal network clients. Refer to
[IP-Installer User’s Guide]
for details of setting
the IP address for the NVS440R.
3.1. Connection to a LAN
Typically the NVS440R is connected to a LAN as follows:

1. After power on, connect the NVS440R to a LAN.
2. Assign an IP address to the NVS440R by using the IP-Installer. Make sure the PC running the IP-Installer is
in the
same subnet
as NVS440R.
3. Check if video streams can be viewed with NVR100 software.
