4.6.7 Firewall – VLAN
Traditionally, networks are segmented by hardware. VLAN are logical subgroups of a LAN that are
segmented with the use of software. This router has the capability to supports Port-based VLAN.

Enable VLAN
Check to enable VLAN. Default: Disabled.
Enable
column
Checkbox to allow user to select which port to enable VLAN.
Ethernet/ Wireless
column Displays the information of each port.
WAN/ LAN
column
Displays the location of the port.
Tag
column
Checkbox to allow user to select which enabled port requires VLAN Tagging.
The corresponding column is VID.
VID
column
When
Tag
is
enabled, user needs to enter the
VLAN Tag ID
here. VLAN Tag
ranges from 0 – 4096.
Priority
column
When more than 1 port VLAN is created,
Priority
for each VLAN needs to be
selected here. Priority ranges from 0 – 7.
CFI
column
Canonical Format Indicator (CFI). Check to set MAC Address in non-canonical
format. Ethernet switches always use canonical format. Default: Unchecked.
