9. DC connection
This chapter explains the requirements and process for wiring the DC wiring to the unit.
Read carefully before starting the connection process.
9.1. Safety instructions for the DC connection
Make sure there is no voltage present on the unit before starting the connection.
Do not switch on the power
to the unit until you have successfully made the rest of the connections
and the unit is closed.
Ingeteam accepts no liability for any damages caused by incorrect connection.
Use the personal protective equipment specified in the section
“Personal Protective Equipment
The grounding of the PV array poles is not permitted in these units.
9.2. Wiring requirements for the DC connection
The wiring gage for the DC connection is specified in the following table:

9.3. DC connection process
The wiring must be routed inside the unit via a conduit, which is inserted through a coupling in order
to maintain the unit's protection class.
Connecting the DC wiring as shown in the following figure:
The polarities are, from left to right, Ground, PV1+, PV1–, PV2–, PV2+ and AFD.
