IR Industrial Electric Vehicle Owner’s Manual
•
When the charger is unplugged, the battery warning light will illuminate and remain illuminated for 10
seconds if the charge is less than 90% complete but the vehicle has enough power for approximately
30 minutes of operation. This will alert the operator that the vehicle may be used, but that it must be
charged to completion as soon as possible.
•
The battery warning light will repeatedly illuminate for 10 seconds, with 4 second intervals if the
charger times out at 16 hours and the batteries are not sufficiently charged.
See the charger owner’s
manual.
This indicates an abnormal charge cycle. The charger and batteries should be checked by
your Club Car dealer/distributor.
• The battery warning light will repeatedly illuminate for 10 seconds, with 4 second intervals during a
charge cycle (DC plug is still connected) if AC power to the charger is interrupted. The light will go out
when AC power is restored.
LED Light: In addition to the battery warning light, there is an infrared LED in the dash light assembly, which
transmits an infrared signal from the onboard computer. This signal can be received by the optional Commu-
nication Display Module, which provides information on the condition of the vehicle and batteries.
HEADLAMPS/TAILLAMPS
The headlamp/taillamp control switch is located on the front dash below the battery condition indicator
(Figure 9). Pull the knob out to turn the lamps on and push the knob in to turn the lamps off.
BRAKE LAMPS
The brake lamps illuminate when the brake pedal is pressed. When the park brake is activated, the brake
lamps will turn off. See following NOTE.
NOTE: When the key switch is in the OFF position, the brake lamps are disabled.
TURN SIGNALS
The turn signal switch is located on the steering column (Figure 10, Page 15). Move the handle up to indicate
a right-hand turn. Move the handle down to indicate a left-hand turn. Return the handle to the center position
after completing a turn.
HAZARD LAMPS
The hazard lamp switch is located just below the turn signal switch (Figure 10, Page 15). To activate the haz-
ard lamps, make sure that the turn signal switch is in the center (off) position, and pull the switch marked "haz-
ard" until it is locked in place by the turn signal switch. To deactivate the hazard lamps, move the turn signal
switch in either direction and return it to the center position.
HORN
The horn button is located on the floorboard to the left of the brake pedal (Figure 10, Page 15). Press button
with foot to activate horn.
SAFETY BELTS
The vehicle is equipped with safety belts for each occupant. Club Car strongly urges that the vehicle’s occu-
pants be properly restrained at all times with the safety belts provided.
