TROUBLESHOOTING
this section provides basic troubleshooting information. determination of specific causes to problems are best identified by
thorough inspections performed by personnel instructed in safety, operation and maintenance of this equipment. the chart
below provides a brief guide to common symptoms, probable causes and remedies.
Table 3: General Faults

Compressor will not start.
No power supply to compressor.
Check supply is switched on. If so, contact a
qualified electrician.
Controller failure.
Check supply to controller. Replace controller.

Compressor stops and will not
restart.

air loss due to pipe, hose, joint or seal
failure.
Repair or replace.
air loss due to blowdown valve stuck open. Repair or replace.
air loss through pressure relief valve not
seating or set incorrectly.
Repair or replace.
air loss due to moisture separator drain
trap stuck open.
Repair or replace.
Motor speed too low caused by drive
incorrectly set.

representative.
Motor speed too low caused by fault in
drive settings.
