FILTERS
- Make sure that all filters are installed correctly with arrow indicating air flow pointing in the
right direction
- Verify that all the filter clips have been installed
COILS
- Make sure that there are no leaks coming from the coil tubes, headers and return bends
- Verify that the coil fins have not been damaged during the installation process. A fin comb
can be used on the fins that have been bent
- Coil supply and return connections have been properly connected to their corresponding lines
Unit Start
Verify that all isolation and recirculation dampers are in the open position. It is also recom-
mended to open the fan access door slightly until fan ramps up to speed to avoid excess pres-
sure applied to the unit casing if there is an accidental duct damper closing. The access door
can then be closed if there is no excess pressure build-up.
Once the unit has been started, a visual inspection of the modular joints and also casing tight-
ness should be done. Make sure that all the parts have been installed as per our installation
instructions and that there are no missing screws or missing compression plates. It is also rec-
ommended to verify that there are no air leaks at the field joints. An air leak can usually be
detected by sound or feel and should be noted on the start-up check-list and also mentioned
to the installing contractor.
