Wey-TEK Refrigerant Charging Scale
The Wey-TEK measuring scale’s few controls allow for easy operation. See the
diagram at the bottom of this page for the location of items on the measuring scale.
A Battery:
The Wey-TEK operates on a 9 volt DC alkaline battery. To install the
battery, slide open the access door on the right side of the scale (as
determined by having the scale’s handle face you). Insert the battery, following
the polarity as labeled inside the compartment. Slide the access door
completely shut. NOTE: If the proper battery polarity is not correct, the Wey-
TEK will not turn on. However, the electronics will not be harmed.
B ON/OFF Switch:
Slide the switch to turn the Wey-TEK ON ( | ) or OFF ( 0 ).
When turned on, the Wey-TEK will step through an initialization test. During
initialization, if the battery’s power is low, the indication “Battery Low” will be
displayed.
C Charging Module Connector:
Slide the left hand access door back. The
communication connector for the Charging Module is located in this pocket. If
you have purchased a Charging Module, the communication cable would plug
into this connector.
D Display:
Indicator of how much weight has been put on or taken off the scale.
The display will show positive or negative values. If the scale goes over its
weight limit, the display will indicate “-----“.
E Unit Selection:
The Wey-TEK will either display the weight measurements in
pounds (XXX Lb. XX.XX oz., XXX.XX.
Lb.) or kilograms (XX.XX Kg). Push this
button to toggle between selections.
F Tare (Zero):
This button allows you to manually zero the Wey-TEK at any time
during operation.
NOTE:
When first turned on, the scale will automatically zero.
