Pick up your carrier by the “lumbar belt” and
place it on your back at your natural waist. The
carrier body should be hanging behind you. Fas-
ten buckle on the front of your body. You will hear
a “click” when secure.
1.
Have a second person carefully place the child
onto your back piggy-back style. Child’s legs
should slide through leg holes and wrap around
your waist and their arms should be on your
shoulders. The “leg straps” should be above the
baby’s legs.
2.
While the second person is supporting the child
securely on your back, put your arms through the
“shoulder straps” one strap at a time.

Carrier use for Older Baby:
Back Carry Position Assisted
* Note: Persons with longer torsos may find a higher
belt position more comfortable (closer to the
navel); shorter people may wish to wear the belt
more on the hips.
* STOP! First time users, DO NOT attempt to use the carrier in the back carry position
without the assistance of a second person. We highly recommend always using
the assistance of a second person.
* IMPORTANT! The baby MUST be able to sit up on his or her own before
being worn in the back carry position.
* Note: It is helpful to lean forward slightly to help
keep child in a high position on your back.
* Your child should be supported by your partner at
all times.
With the second person still supporting child
securely, buckle the “chest/back strap” and
adjust it to a comfortable position.
4.
8.
Tighten the “top shoulder strap tighteners” to
pull your baby closer to your body into the
most comfortable position.

6.
Adjust the webbing on the “leg straps” to fit
the baby’s legs snugly in the leg holes.
Pull backwards on shoulder straps to adjust
for a comfortable fit.

7.
8.
Roll any excess webbing and secure with an
elastic “tidy loop.” Repeat with each strap to
keep the carrier neat and any excess strap out
of the way.
When the baby is secure in the back carry
position, the assistant can release their support
of the child.
