FAULT
CAUSE
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
F01
LED 1
ON
Motor triac short circuit
-
Check for continuity of motor (Field coil pins 3-5 and
armature pins 1-2);
-
Check efficiency of module connector block J9, motor
terminal block and wiring between motor and edge
connector J9;
F02
LED 2
ON
Motor jammed, motor tacho
generator open or short
circuit.
-
Check motor not seized;
-
Check edge connector J9 has secure connections on
module;
-
Remove edge connector J9 on module check wiring and
contacts at position 1 and 2 on connector J9;
-
Check tacho generator windings and that there is an
impedance value of between 115 and 170
Ω
on the wiring
connector J9 between pins 1 and 2;
F03
LEDs
1 & 2
ON
NTC wash thermistor open /
short circuit or wash heating
element relay contacts
sticking (signalled at time of
full tub).
-
Check edge connector J8 has secure connections on
module;
-
Check thermistor and wiring;
-
Remove edge connector J8 from module check wiring at
position 11 and 12 on connector J8;
-
Remove plug from thermistor. The resistance at room
temperature (20°C) is approximately 20K
Ω.
F04
LED 3
ON
Pressure switch stuck on
empty.
-
Machine continually fills until it reaches overfill safety level.
Drain pump is then started by overflow contacts in pressure
switch;
-
Check edge connector J3 has secure connections on
module;
-
Check pressure switch connections;
-
Check wiring connections are secure between pressure
switch and edge connector J3 on module;
F05
LEDs
1 & 3
ON
Machine will not empty or
pressure switch stuck in full
position.
-
Check pump is not jammed or faulty;
-
Check edge connector J9 has secure connections on
module and drain pump;
F07
LEDs
1, 2 &
3 ON
Heater relay stuck or element
open circuit.
-
This fault is only signalled when pressure switch is in the
empty position;
-
Check edge connector J3 has secure connections on
module;
-
Check wiring to heater and continuity of wash element
(25
Ω);
-
Check pressure switch connections and correct pressure
switch operation;
