4. See that the Rotor freely slides over the Motor shaft.
5. Adjust the washers P. N:83, 85 such that a distance B of about 1.5 mm. is achieved (see sketch
3)
6. Check the air gap between rotor and stator packet to be uniform to 0.2 +0.05 mm. keep the
nyloc nut (P. N. 89) in fully tightened condition.
7. Adjustment by nyloc nut (P.N.89) If it is found that the hoist does not lift the load satisfactorily,
then open the nut by 1/2 to 3/4 turn. You will find the hoist will start working all right.
CAUTION
The adjustment by nut only has to be very carefully done, Further loosening of the nut will reduce
the running gap between rotor and stator of motor to such an extent that rotor will start fouling
the stator causing damage to motor ultimately.
Spares : 1) Paris with ‘mark are subject to high wear and tear and it is advised to keep them In
stock
2) While ordering spares, please mention the hoist and motor numbers, date of supply,
lilt and capacity of the unit.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
TROUBLE
Hoist does not
raise or lower
Hoist operates sluggishly
Causes of Excessive
Hoist/Load chain wear
Fast wear of Load chain
Wheel.
CAUSE
1. No power to motor
2. Limit Switch open
3. Brake not releasing
4. Excessive Load
1. Low voltage or single
phasing
2. Load does not move freely
1. Lack of lubrication
2. Excessive duty / load
Excessive worn out chain
1. Excessive worn out chain
HOW TO SET RIGHT
Check power line connections, 24V
Auxiliary connections.
Check Transformer.
1. Check Limit switch contact.
2. Check angular loading, load chain
not sitting and running out of guide
roller.
1. Check up the nylon nut. It should
be loosened by j lo 1 Lori’ from full
tight position.
2. Open motor side and check if
there is any foreign material or rust
or moisture.
Check proof of load
1. Check wear and tear of chain as
per guide lines mentioned below.
2. Check load chain wheel for wear.
1. Lubricate chain with Harmony 53
or equivalent oil.
2. Check load & number of Start/
Stop per day.
Refer Guide line for chain.

i) While measuring, there should not* any twist in chain & it should not be held loose.
ii) It should be measured within ± 1 mm accuracy & it should be measured at the interval of 2 meters.
Recommended maximum ‘X’ for 17 links in mm.
a) For 8 mm. load chain (D...11) 422 mm.
At any place if ‘X’ is more, it is NOT advisable to use it.
