Situation 2 - Ein Display läuft bereits und das Zweite wird später
eingeschaltet:
Es wird weiterhin das EDID Signal des zuerst eingeschalteten Displays an die
Quelle weitergegeben und das Auflösungsformat wird beibehalten.
ACHTUNG: Wenn das Display mit dem höheren Auflösungsvermögen zuerst
eingeschaltet war, kann es sein dass das zweite Display mit dem geringeren
Auflösungsvermögen kein Bild anzeigt, da es mit dem bereitgestellten höheren
Format nicht kompatibel ist!
Situation 3 - Es werden beide Displays gleichzeitig eingeschaltet:
In diesem Fall hat das EDID Signal von Ausgang 2 Priorität und wird an die
Quelle weitergegeben.
ACHTUNG: damit beide Displays auch ein Bild wiedergeben, muss an Ausgang
2 das Display mit dem geringeren Auflösungsvermögen angeschlossen werden

supports via the HDMI cable. The source, in turn, sends back the highest suitable format. (EDID =

2 manage the EDID signal when two displays (e.g. LCD
and projector) with differing resolution formats are connected?
Situation 1 - only one display is switched on:
The HDMI switch relays the EDID signal of the display that is switched on to the source.
Situation 2 - One display is already running and the second is switched on afterwards:
The EDID signal of the display switched on first is still relayed to the source and the resolution
format is retained.
Caution: If the display with the higher resolution capability is switched on first, it is possible that
the second display with the lower resolution capability will not show any picture because it is not
compatible with the higher format!
In this case, the display with the lower resolution capability should be switched on first.
Situation 3 -both displays are switched on at the same time:
In this case, the EDID signal from Output 2 has priority and is relayed to the source.
Caution: The display with the lower resolution capability must be connected to Output 2 for both
displays to show a picture.
EXAMPLE 1:

Display: 576i, 720p and 1080i
•
Sources: 576i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p
In this case, the source will switch to just 1080i because this is the highest format that
the panel can process.
EXAMPLE 2:
•
Display: 576i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p
•
Sources: 576i, 720p and 1080i
In this case, the source will also switch to just 1080i because it does not support a higher
format itself.
