
Nozzle Leak Detector Operators Instructions
A. Without machine interface
1. Attach Bracket Assembly to Nozzle with hose clamp (sold
separately).
2. Affix the thermocouple into bracket and tighten in place with
set screw .
3. With unit toggled to OFF position, plug thermocouple into the
thermocouple socket located on the right side of the unit.
4. Plug the leak detector unit into a standard 120V grounded
receptacle.
5. Toggle switch to ON position to power up the unit.
6. Adjust the set point on the controller to approximately 100 to
150°F below the nozzle zone temperature.
• To adjust the set point temperature on the controller, refer
to the Model 3300 Controller instruction manual.
• Instructions to lock the set point temperature are included
in the Model 3300 Controller Instruction manual.
7. When a leak is detected, the audible alarm will sound and the
LED will light up. Turn unit OFF and repair leak.
• NOTE: Do not just toggle switch to OFF position without
repairing leak.
• To reset controller, follow instructions on the Model 3300
Controller Instruction manual
• Audible alarm volume can be adjusted by rotating the
louver on alarm face.
8. After the leak is fixed and the controller is reset turn unit back
ON. The audible alarm will remain silent and the LED warning
light will remain off until another leak is detected.
B. With Machine Interface
1. Attach Bracket Assembly to Nozzle with hose clamp (sold
separately).
2. Affix the thermocouple into bracket and tighten in place with
set screw.
3. With unit toggled to OFF position, plug thermocouple into the
thermocouple socket located on the right side of the unit.
4. Wire plugs (included with unit) to use for input and output.
• Hot wire goes to brass screw
• Neutral wire goes to silver screw
NOTE: there is no ground for input and output
CAUTION: ONLY WIRE PLUGS WHEN THERE IS NO
VOLTAGE PRESENT
5. Insert plugs from machine into appropriate receptacles
located on side of unit.
• Input receptacle is for input voltage at standard 120v non
grounded power.
• Output receptacle is for output voltage at standard 120v
non grounded power.
Note: Input receptacle will always have power and Output
receptacle will have no power until a leak is detected.
6. Plug the leak detector unit into a standard 120V grounded
receptacle.
7. Toggle the switch to ON position to power up the unit.
8. Adjust the set point on the controller to approximately 100 to
150°F below the nozzle zone temperature.
