Fault Possible cause and solution
No display, radio
does not respond Connect the device to the mains using the power supply unit
included with the radio.
Operation via remote
control is not pos-
sible Batteries empty or positioned incorrectly. Please check
whether the batteries are inserted in the correct direction.
Poor DAB+ reception No stations available Perform a scan Antenna not fully ex-
tended.
Change the location of the radio (possibly closer to a window),
perform another scan
Weak FM reception Antenna not fully extended, Extend the FM antenna to its full
length. Change the location of the radio
Bad audio quality of
music playback Low bit rate file. Check the audio file. Tip: For MP3 files, the
bitrate should be 192 kbit/s or higher.
Volume too low Check the volume setting on the i500 Check the volume set-
ting of the paired device that the music is playing from.
Network connection
cannot be estab-
lished Check the WLAN function
Activate the DHCP function of the router that the radio is
connected to.
A firewall may be active in the network.
