
Handling the remote controller
•
Use the remote controller within a distance of 26 feet (8 meters) from the air conditioner, pointing it towards
the receiver (located on the front of the unit, towards the top). Proper reception is confirmed with a beep.
Replacing batteries
The remote controller is powered by two AAA (LR-03) batteries housed in the rear section and protected by a cover.

The remote ships with the batteries in a separate package. Insert them before attempting to use for the first
time.

Remove the cover by pressing and sliding off.
3.
Insert the batteries being sure to have the (+) and (-) ends in their respective places.
NOTE: When the batteries are removed, the remote controller erases all programming. After inserting new
batteries, the controller must be reprogrammed.

CAUTION

The air conditioner will not accept commands from the remote if any curtains, doors or other materials or objects
block the signals from the remote controller.

Be sure to prevent any liquid from falling into the controller. It should also not be subjected to direct sunlight or
heat.
•
If the remote receiver on the A/C is exposed to direct sunlight it may not properly receive commands from the
remote.
CAUTION
•
Do not mix old and new batteries or combine batteries of a different type.
•
Do not leave the batteries in the remote controller if it is not going to be used for 2 to 3 months.
•
Dispose of the old batteries in the special containers found at certain retail stores and recycling centers.
