5 Operation
Use the control buttons FUNC, UP, DOWN and
ENTER (5) to select the operation mode and vari-
ous functions (fig. 3). The display (7) indicates the
setting and the mode. In addition, the LEDs (6) next
to the display indicate the mode selected:
DMX = DMX mode
SOUND = music-controlled light show
AUTO
= automatic light show
SLAVE = slave mode: control via a connected
master unit
5.1 Independent operation
For independent operation, 7 light show programs
are available that run music-controlled or at an
adjustable speed.
1) Press the button FUNC repeatedly until (for
automatic programs) or (for music-con-
trolled programs) starts flashing on the display.
2) Use the button UP or DOWN to select the num-
ber of the show program:


3) Press the button ENTER to confirm:
— When a music-controlled program has
been selected, the display will stop flashing.
Turn the control SENSITIVITY (9) for the
sensitivity of the microphone (8) clockwise
until the light beams respond to the music as
desired. If the microphone does not receive
any sound signal for 5 seconds, the light
beams will be switched off. They will be
switched on again when a signal is received.
Note: When the volume at the music system is
changed, the microphone sensitivity must be
adjusted accordingly. If the music control does not
work in an optimum way even though the sensitivity
control has been turned up much, increase the vol-
ume or reduce the distance between the sound
source and the microphone.
— When an automatic program has been se-
lected, (for speed) and a number (0 – 100)
will start flashing on the display. Use the but-
ton UP or DOWN to set the speed and then
press ENTER to save the setting.
4) To select a different show program or to change
the speed, first press the button FUNC. To
change the speed, press then the button
ENTER. Use the button UP or DOWN to make
the settings desired and press ENTER to save
them.
