2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with .
WARNING
The unit uses dangerous mains
voltage . Leave servicing to skilled
personnel and do not insert any-
thing into the air vents; inexpert
handling may result in electric
shock .

The unit is suitable for indoor use only . Protect
it against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity and heat (admissible ambi-
ent temperature range: 0 – 40 °C) .
•
Do not place any vessel with liquid on the unit,
e . g . a drinking glass .
•
The heat generated inside the unit must be
dissipated by air circulation; never cover the
air vents of the housing .
•
Do not operate the unit and immediately dis-
connect the mains plug unit from the socket
1 . if the unit or the mains cable is visibly dam-
aged,
2 . if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3 . if malfunctions occur .
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel .

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the
plug .

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never
use water or chemicals .
•
No guarantee claims for the unit and no li-
ability for any resulting personal damage or
material damage will be accepted if the unit
is used for other purposes than originally in-
tended, if it is not safely installed, if it is not
correctly connected or operated, or if it is not
repaired in an expert way .
If the unit is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful
to the environment .
3 Applications
The LED spotlight PARL-12RGBW can be used
to create effect illumination, e . g . on stage, in
discotheques or in ballrooms . The spotlight
features 12 super-bright 8 W RGBW LEDs as
a light source . The LEDs can emit light in the
three primary colours (red, green and blue) and
in white as well as coloured light created from
additive colour mixing . Crossfading from one
colour to another and stroboscope effects are
also supported .
The spotlight is designed for control by
means of a DMX light controller (1, 4, 5 or 8
DMX channels available), but may also be oper-
ated on its own or in combination with multiple
spotlights PARL-12RGBW (master /slave mode) .
The spotlight can be conveniently controlled by
means of the infrared remote control supplied .
In addition, the integrated microphone provides
effects in sync with the music .
4 Installation
Always place the unit at a location where suffi-
cient air circulation is ensured during operation .
Never cover the air vents of the housing .
WARNING
The spotlight must be installed in
a safe and expert manner . If the
spotlight is installed at a place
where people may walk or sit
under it, additionally secure the spotlight (e . g .
by means of a safety rope at the mounting
bracket; fasten the safety rope in such a way
that the maximum falling distance of the unit
will not exceed 20 cm) .
