6. Helpful Suggestions
Transportation:
(If equipped with a 3-point hitch)
The PTO-series generators are designed to be handled anchored to the three points of the
tractor hoist. If necessary for lifting the PTO-generator, the points indicated in the following
picture may be used as coupling points.
The PTO-generator is connected to the tractor hoist fastening by three hitch points (drawing
ref 1-2-3).
Check that the anchorages are well secured before starting the tractor. To transmit power
from the motor to the PTO-generator use a double-joint cardan shaft of adequate length and
fitted with a safety circuit breaker.
Before starting rotation of the propeller shaft, place the PTO-generator on the ground.
Storage:
Proper Storage preparation is essential for keeping your PTO-generator trouble-free and
looking good. The following information will keep rust and other corrosion from impairing your
machine’s function and appearance, and will make the unit easier to start when you use it
again.
If the PTO-generator is not to be used for a long time, it is recommended, before storage, to
clean all the parts thoroughly, protect the metallic parts with a film of oil and to wrap the PTO-
generator in a nylon sheet to protect it against humidity.
It is recommended to exercise this PTO generator for one hour, carrying rated load at
least twice a year.
