WARNING: Dust generated from certain materials can be harmful to your health, for example
lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks, cement or other masonry products as
well as arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber. Always use the machine in well-
ventilanted areas and provide proper dust removal. Use dust collection systems whenever possi-
ble. Also use approved safety equipment such as a dust mask that is specially designed to filter
out microscopic particles.

Should any part of the drill press be missing, damaged or any electrical component fail to per-
form properly, turn the power off and unplug the drill press. Replace missing, damaged or failed
parts before resuming operation.

Clean up
The unpainted surfaces are coated with waxy oil to protect them from corrosion during shipment.
Remove this protective coating with a soft cloth moistened with kerosene, solvent cleaner or de-
greaser. Do not use acetone, gasoline, thinner or chlorine-based solvents.
Location
Make sure the floor is strong enough to carry the weight of the drill press. Ensure there is enough
space around the machine for safe operation and for stands to support large or long workpieces.
ASSEMBLY
Base to column (Fig. 3)
1.
Align column to base holes.
2.
Insert a 10x25mm bolt into each column hole and tighten.
Table to column (Fig. 4-8)
1.
Remove the ring (3) by loosening the set screw (4).

Remove the rack (5) from the column.
3.
Check that the worm gear (8) is properly seated inside the table bracket (7) and comes into con-
tact with the gears. The handle shaft (9) should extend out of the housing about one inch.

Insert the rack (5) into the geared groove (6) of the table bracket (7). The table bracket should
sit at the center section of the rack.

Slip the table bracket and rack (1) carefully onto the column (2). Insert the bottom of the rack
into the slot (3) at the base of the column.

Hold the bracket and rack against the column and slip the rack ring (4) onto the column.
