Manual Flash Operation with Ikelite DS-Series Strobes
- We recommend placing the strobe in TTL mode (or a manual fractional
power setting), so you can see both preflashes.
- Set camera to “Av” or “Tv” shooting mode.
- Press the FEL control 4 times within 4 seconds.
- After you see two preflashes, the camera will be in Manual Flash mode.
Once in Manual Flash mode, no preflashes will be fired. This will allow use
of all the strobes manual power settings, including full power.
To return to TTL mode, turn the strobe off and on again, and then return
the strobe to the TTL setting.
NOTES:
If you leave the strobe in TTL mode when you enable Manual Flash, it will
fire at the last TTL flash duration that was used.
TTL flash is available in the camera’s “M” shooting mode.
