Degassing the decomposition vessel takes place manually
with the help of the venting handle C 7010.8 in the scope of
delivery of the equipment
C7000.
The vent knob is supplied for
manual release of tension in
decomposition vessel.
Escaping decom-
position gases
might be detri-
mental to health.
The individual parts of the decomposition vessel are clearly identi-
fied by means of the engraved serial number and the technical
data. The data is in accordance with the regulation for pressure
vessels 97/23/EC.
The individual parts of several decomposition vessels (cover, cap
screw and bottom part) are not interchangeable.
If one of the parts indicated becomes damaged then the comple-
te decomposition vessel has to be sent to the factory for testing.
The crucible holder has to be aligned bevor tightening the hexa-
gonal nut. The opening for the crucible must point in the direction
of the ignition electrode.
The hexagonal nut is tightened only slightly with the spanner.
Circuit board
The circuit board (item 20) is used for signal transmission.
Make certain that the conductor lines are clean.
Perform a leakage test before every combustion
process.
Always check the lid is properly sealed with the decom-
position vessel after carrying out maintenance.
Follow the safety instructions.
•
Fill the decomposition chamber in the calorimeter system or
using the C48 oxygen filling station
•
Remove the decomposition vessel and immerse fully in a con-
tainer filled with water
•
Check the decomposition vessel for oxygen leaks by wat-
ching for bubbles
•
If bubbles are seen then the decomposition vessel is not sea-
led correctly.
•
Vent the decomposition vessel and check the seals
Never use a leaking decomposition vessel in the calorimeter.
