Using the Driver Utility
Your Power Line Adapter units come with a CD to install the Driver Utility – this isn’t necessary for setup, but it
is useful to reset, monitor or access some advanced settings for your PLA units, so keep it in a safe place.
1. Insert the CD into a computer’s disk drive and run through the installation wizard.
2. After the Driver Utility is installed, a PLA unit will need to be connected to that computer to make use of the
Driver Utility.
3. Turn off and disconnect one of the PLA units from anywhere in your home.
4. Plug the ethernet cable for that PLA unit into the ethernet port on your computer, and then plug the PLA
unit into an electrical outlet and turn it on.
5. Open the Driver Utility on your computer to view your PLA settings.
