Step 5. Zen Garden, Tan Brick, Or Red Brick Panel Kits ONLY - Using
a 5/32” allen wrench or t handle remove the screws holding the
brick panel brackets on each side of the firebox. Keep those
screws as you will use them when them for the new brackets.
The new brackets are included with the brick panel set. Use the
screws that were removed to attach these new brackets with the
wrench or t handle.
Step 6. Install a light layer of glowing embers (rockwool) directly over
the ports.
- A light layer will give a more constant rear flame.
- A heavy layer will give more glow, but will need to
be adjusted after light up.
Step 7. Install front logs on retainer slots.
Step 8. Place volcanic stone around the perimeter of the glowing embers
(rockwool).
IMPORTANT!!! Do not cover the ports with
volcanic stone.
Step 9.
Place top log on pin.

Step 4. Install the side firebox panels by sliding them into place. See
Figure 3.
Step 10. Light the burner per instructions on the lighting label (in control
compartment) or in the installation and operation manual.
Step 11. If necessary, adjust the burner air shutter per instructions in the
installation and operation manual.
Step 12. Volcanic stone adjustment - To achieve optimum flame aesthetics:
If one or two flames are substantially taller than the others, turn
the flame off – open door and slightly move volcanic stone with
a screwdriver or other tool.
