7.2.5 Gateway - Change access password
► If necessary, change the factory-set gateway password.
The password cannot be reset.
7.3 Sensor setup
Recommendation:
Due to the mesh topology, arrange the sensors around the gateway.
► Press the button briefly (switch on device).

Green LED lights up briefly and goes out again.
>
Green LED lights up briefly again: connection with the gateway ok
or
>
Red LED lights up briefly: no connection to the gateway.
►
Check connection and position the device closer to the gateway.
Switch off the sensor:
► Press the button for at least 8 seconds until the LED lights up in red for approx.
4 seconds.
Upon initial set-up, the LED may briefly light up in red despite an active connection to
the gateway. Check by pressing the button again. The LED should then turn green.

8 Connection to a backend
8.1 Connection to the LR Smartobserver
An MQTT broker is required for connection to the LR Smartobserver from ifm
electronic.
The device sends (publishes) messages to an MQTT broker under the topic "ifm/
VWV/{SID}".
The LR Agent, being an MQTT client, in turn subscribes to the messages of the
MQTT broker.
By subscribing to the topic "ifm/VWV/#" all sensors are displayed.
