4.3 SO-DIMM Installation
CAUTION:
1. DDR3L 1333 MHz operation will be downgraded to 1066 MHz due to
Intel
®
SoC limitation.
2. In some cases, the tKINO-BW with DDR3L 1333 MHz memory
module installed may take a longer time to boot up.
3. For dual channel configuration, always install two identical memory
modules that feature the same capacity, timings, voltage, number of
ranks and the same brand.
4. If you intend to install only one memory module, be sure to install it
into the
DIMM1
slot (refer to
To install an SO-DIMM, please follow the steps below and refer to
Figure 4-1: SO-DIMM Installation
Step 1:
Locate the SO-DIMM socket
. Place the board on an anti-static mat.
Step 2:
Align the SO-DIMM with the socket
. Align the notch on the memory with the
notch on the memory socket.
Step 3:
Insert the SO-DIMM
. Push the memory in at a 20º angle. (See
