3.5 mSATA Module Installation
To install an mSATA module into the AFL3-12A/W15A-BT, please follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Remove the plastic back cover. See
Section 3.4
above.
Step 2:
Locate the full-size PCIe Mini card slot. Remove the preinstalled retention screw
on the screw pillar of the PCIe Mini card slot as shown in (
Figure 3-5
).

Step 3:
Line up the notch on the mSATA module with the notch on the connector. Slide
the PCIe Mini card into the socket at an angle of about 20º.
Step 4:
Secure the mSATA module with the retention screw. Push the other end of the
mSATA module down and secure the module with the previously removed
retention screw (
Figure 3-6
).
