3.4 READER WIRING
Connect RF reader to Reader Port of iTDC/iTDC-SR as follows.
Wiring below is an example of Reader Port #1(EX_RD1) connection.
Wiring for reader Port #2(EX_RD2), #3(EX_RD3), #4(EX_RD4) is also the same as description below.
- C12V (red) wire of RF reader to Reader Port terminal block (+12V) of iTDC/iTDC-SR.
- Connect GND (-) (black) wire of RF reader to Reader Port terminal block (GND) of iTDC/iTDC-SR.
- Connect DATA0 (green) wire of RF reader to Reader Port terminal block (D0) of iTDC/iTDC-SR.
- Connect DATA1 (white) wire of RF reader to Reader Port terminal block (D1) of iTDC/iTDC-SR.

You can use ex12V DC power source for RF reader. But in this case you should connect
GND of external power source and power GND of iTDC/iTDC-SR to the same ground.
Earth GND connection equalizes all ground level to zero and protects from the thunderbolt or
surge voltage. If you don’t connect them to the same ground, due to inflow of external noise ,
some malfunctions may occur such as communication errors, unintended changes in system
setting etc., and life time of the device could be shortened.
Caution
