USING THE WATER KETTLE
Connect the power plug (J) with the right socket.
Place the water kettle on the base (B).
The water kettle is equipped with an automatic turn-off function. Turn the On/Off switch (C) up
(position I) to start the boiling process, the indicator lamp lights up. After reaching the boiling point,
the On/Off switch automatically jumps back (position 0) and the indicator lamp goes out.
When filling in water, pay attention to the markings
MIN
and
MAX
on the water level display (D),
do not exceed the marking
MAX
and do not let the water fall below the marking
MIN
.
The lid must always be closed when the kettle is in use.
If you want to boil the water again, let the device cool down for approx. 3 minutes.
Always hold the kettle by the handle (H) when lifting up and filling in.
Do not let rest water stay in the kettle. It increases the risk of calcification and if the water stays in
the kettle too long, bacteria may build up.
DRYING PROTECTION
If the kettle is switched on without water, the drying protection function is activated. The device
switches off (indicator lamp goes out). In this case set the On/Off switch manually to the position
AUS (position 0) and let the device cool down for 5 – 10 minutes.
This process shortens the service life of your water kettle. In extreme cases,
using the kettle in the drying protection mode might lead to fire hazard.
Before switching the device on, please make sure that there is water inside.
CLEANING
In order to clean the outer part of the water kettle, use a dry or only slightly damp cloth. Under no
circumstances should the surface of the kettle come in contact with water.
You can remove the filter (F) from the spout. When the water kettle has cooled down completely,
you can open the lid, take the filter out and wash it under running water or in the washing machine.
DECALCIFYING
In order to decalcify the device use a solution consisting of vinegar and water. The kettle should
be decalcified at least twice a year.

Fill in the water kettle up to the marking MAX with two parts of water and one part of vinegar.
2.
Boil the mixture until the kettle has switched off automatically and let the solution stay in the
kettle overnight.
3.
Empty the kettle the following morning and fill it with fresh water up to the marking MAX. Boil
again.
4.
Empty the kettle to remove lime rests. If necessary, repeat the process.
5.
Finally rinse the water kettle with water.
Do not clean the water kettle with metal sponges or similarly sharp materials.
