CURRENT GAS SAFETY (INSTALLATION
& USE) REGULATIONS OR RULES IN
FORCE.
It is the law that
all
gas appliances are installed and serviced
by a CORGI registered installer in accordance with the above
regulations. Failure to install appliances correctly could lead
to prosecution. It is in your own interest, and that of safety, to
ensure that the law is complied with.
WARNING: This appliance must be earthed.
TO LIGHT A MODULE (SEE FRAME 1)
1.
Ensure that water is flowing through the boiler and that all
external controls are turned ON.
2.
Check that the main inlet gas service tap is ON.
3.
Turn the module gas service tap to ON.
4.
Switch the electrical supply to the boiler to ON.
The following sequence of events will now take place:
a)
The 'Mains On' light will be illuminated.
b)
The fan will start and run for approximately 70 seconds
CAUTION.
To avoid the possibility of injury during the installation, servicing or cleaning of
this appliance care should be taken when handling edges of sheet steel components.
then, depending on the module's position in the switching
sequence, either the fan will run on for a further 35
seconds or the fan will stop for a period of up to 35
seconds then restart and run for a further 35 seconds.
The operation is part of the pre-purge safety feature of the
Super Plus
boiler.
c)
At the end of this period the gas valve will open and the
spark generator will be energised. The burner will light
and can be seen through the viewing point.
The 'Burner On' light will be illuminated.
d)
The main burner will continue to fire until the thermostat
(or external controls) is satisfied. The main gas valves will
then close and the fan will stop. The 'Burner On' light will
go out.
Note.
Should the burner fail to light, the 'Lockout' light will be
illuminated at the end of the ignition sequence.
TO ATTEMPT RE-IGNITION
If a module indicator panel is signalling 'Lockout', wait for 15
seconds and then press in and release the reset button. The
ignition sequence will recommence.
If after 3 attempts the burner does not light, a CORGI registered
