12. Possible malfunctions
The device stops automatically in the following cases.

Paper runs out mid-operation
in Preset counter mode.
Add paper.
Return the paper feed table
to the top position (Page 41).
Add paper.

No paper is being fed in.

Paper jam in the top or
bottom fold plate.
Clean or replace the separator
and the paper feed rollers.

Take out both fold plates and
remove the jammed paper.

Paper is in the paper delivery
sensor.
B
Paper jam in the stacker.
C
The paper delivery sensor
is dirty.
Remove paper.
Take out paper.
Clean the sensor
(see Page 55).

Roller cover is open.
B
Fold plates are not inserted
correctly.
Close the roller cover
(see Page 51).
Check both fold plates,
remove if necessary and
reinsert correctly.

Paper jam in the top or
bottom fold plate.

Paper jam due to
excessively low speed.

increase speed.
