30-603 Adjustment Instructions for IDEAL BNC Connectors

START:  Identify your version of the Adjustable 30-603 IDEAL compression tool:

Current

version has a

shorter plunger

head

and tool has adjustment lines

Previous

 version has a

longer plunger head

and tool has no adjustment lines

To Adjust Current Version:

Loosen the locknut/

plunger combo with a

flat head screwdriver.

Screw the plunger into

the body of the tool as

far as it can go. The

locknut should be near

the head of the plunger.

Test a BNC connector for proper fit

and compression.  Adjust plunger

again for best fit if necessary.

Loosen and remove the lock-

nut/plunger combo from the tool

with a flat head screwdriver.

Remove the locknut

from the

plunger.

Screw the plunger back

into the body of the tool

as far as it can go.

 Do not

use the locknut for BNC’s.

Test a BNC connector for proper fit

and compression.  Adjust plunger

again for best fit if necessary.

To Adjust Previous Version:

*The 30-603 tool is recommended for occasional BNC users.  For installers who regularly use BNC and F connectors,

the 30-793 tool is recommended as the above adjustments are not required to terminate BNC connectors.
