Installation of an application
The installation of an application is pretty simple. The referring installation file has just to
be copied in the “new_software” folder in the “applications” folder in the “public” share,
and the IB-NAS has to be rebooted.
Attention:
After the upgrade described above the HDD needs to be initialized in
order to grant that the appropriate folders are generated on the HDD.
Copy the installation file
in the „new_software”
folder in the
“applications” folder in
the “public” share and
restart the IB-NAS
afterwards
Attention:
After the installation of packages like the SSH server is it possible that
the restart may take longer, because some keys for the strong
encryption have to be generated.
To restart the system is done via the menu item "Turn Off Server":

In most cases, the application will integrate itself in seamlessly in the menu structure of
the management surface. For a detailed description please view the documentation along
the referring application.
