Resetting the Handset or the Base
If you reset the handset or the base, all of the user-selectable
features restore to the factory settings: When resetting the
handset, the incoming and outgoing lists will be erased, but the
Contacts and Flash time do not reset.
The handset and base can be reset independently. It is useful
for the following purposes:
y
If you have made many wrong settings and you want to
restore the handset to the factory presets.
y
If the phone shows logical malfunctions (incorrect symbols
on the display, incorrect behavior, etc.), the problem can
be caused by a switching power supply noise or an
electrostatic spike that can temporarily alter the memory of
the internal microprocessor. Resetting could solve the
problem.
