Introduction
1.1 Features
The ICOP-6 0 5 X c o n t a i n s a l l s t a n d a r d m o t h e r b o a r d f e a t u r e s s u c h a s :

The ICOP-605X is a core module for high performance control applications
in demanding embedded applications. Because the module implements all
key functions of a full PC/AT compatible system any standard PC compiler
o r d e b u g g e r c a n b e u s e d , r e s u l t n g i n a s i g n i f i c a n t l y r e d u c e d s o f t w a r e
d e v e l o p -m e n t c y c l e .
I/O and Enhanced IDE
In addition, the ICOP-605X has one PS/2 mouse port, two serial ports (RS-
2 3 2 a n d / o r R S -4 8 5 ) , o n e b i d i rectional printer port that supports SPP, ECP
andEPP modes, an enhanced IDE HDD interface that supports PIO mode 4,
a n d a f l o p p y d i s k c o n t r o l l e r .
Flash or EPROM Disk or DiskOnChip
The onboard socket can accept up to 2 MB EPROM (ICOP-6051) or 1 MB
F l a s h m e m o r y . B o t h s o c k e t s c a n b y j u m p e r s e t t i n g b e a s s i g n e d t o h o l d a
DiskOnChip. There areno combinations possible of devices, it is either Flash,
EPROM or DiskOn -C h i p .
