8. USING THE AUTO SETTINGS FUNCTION

Your iCool stores the last temperature settings you used in it’s memory.

When you turn on the power you can recall these settings by touching

In this case there is no need to set new settings. Go straight to section 2. STARTING COOLING
AND HEATING.

9. USING THE SOUND SYSTEM

Your iCool TWIN has a very high quality sound system built into the cabinet. It can be used to
play music from any iPod or MP3 player for relaxation or meditation while undergoing ice bath
treatments, or to play instructions to athletes, or as a public address system. It is powerful
enough to fill a large room with sound.

To turn on the sound system touch the

key

AND HOLD IT FOR 5 SECONDS TO ACTI-

VATE THE STEREO AMPLIFIERS

. Activation is indicated by a long beep sound and the SOUND

SYSTEM icon and a picture of a loudspeaker will appear on the LCD screen.

To turn the amplifiers off at any time repeat this step.

If you have an iPod, it can be plugged directly into the iPod cradle on the top of the cabinet. This
cradle also allows you to control all the functions of your iPod from the main touch panel.

You can turn the volume up and down, skip tracks forward or back, pause and play all by using
these keys on the iCool touch screen.

These controls have the same functions as controls
you will be familiar with on most music players.

USING THE iPOD CRADLE

THE SOUND IS MUTED WHEN YOU FIRST TURN ON THE AMPLIFIERS, SO YOU MUST TURN UP
THE VOLUME USING THE UP ARROW BEFORE YOU CAN HEAR YOUR iPOD.

THE iPOD CAN NOT BE CONTROLLED UNLESS YOU TOUCH THE

KEY BRIEFLY FIRST

SO THAT ONLY THE CONTROL KEYS GROUP IS ILLUMINATED.

USING ALL OTHER TYPE OF MP3 PLAYERS OR OTHER SOUND SOURCES

If you have any other kind of music player or an iPod Shuffle, you can still use the built in sound
system by plugging your music player into the gold left and right phono sockets in front of the
iPod cradle.

In this case you can not control your music player from the iCool touch screen. You must use
your players built in controls as normal.

Because the volume will be controlled from your player

please be careful that it is not set too high before you turn on the iCool music system

.

You can use these phono inputs for any kind of player or even a microphone. Some micro-
phones have a very low output level and may need a separate pre amplifier (available from elec-
tronics stores everywhere) to be loud enough.

9. PROBLEMS?

IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND OR IF SOMETHING APPEARS NOT TO
BE OPERATING CORRECTLY, GO TO TROUBLE SHOOTING ON THE NEXT PAGE

OR CONTACT iCOOL BY GOING TO

www.icoolsport.com

HOW TO USE TOUCH SCREEN CORRECTLY

iCool uses a TOUCH SCREEN because it is moisture proof and has no moving parts to
wear out or become damaged. The TOUCH SCREEN works by detecting the presence of
your finger. There is no need to press down at all.

Pressing on the screen makes no differ-

ence it only detects whether your finger is there or not.

To avoid input errors your Touch Screen will not move on to the next input until you move
your finger away at least 1.5 cm. (half an inch) each time after touching the input you want.

This tells the computer that you have finished that input and the system then waits for the
next touch. Therefore if you are making repeated inputs touching the same key you need
to move away at least 1.5 cm. (half an inch) between touches. This avoids false inputs.
