BASIC OPERATION

Emergency transmission
When [Emergency] s held down for the pre-programmed tme
perod, the emergency call s transmtted once, or repeat-
edly*, on the specfied emergency channel.
* Dependng on the pre-programmed settngs.
A repeat emergency call s automatcally transmtted untl
you turn the power OFF. Dependng on the pre-programmed
settngs, recevng a matchng 5-tone code cancels the trans-
msson.
When no emergency channel s specfed, the call s trans-
mtted on the operatng channel.
If you want to cancel the Emergency functon, hold down
[Emergency] for the pre-programmed tme perod agan be-
fore transmttng the call.
If your transcever s programmed for Slent operaton, you
can transmt emergency calls wthout the beep soundng and
the LED ndcator lghtng.
IMPORTANT:
We recommend that you have an emer-
gency channel to provde relable emergency calls. Ask
your dealer for detals.

After an emergency call transmsson, audo from the mcro-
phone s automatcally transmtted for the pre-programmed
tme perod.

for the pre-programmed tme perod, after the emergency
