Installing the Software
! CAUTION WINDOWS XP USERS!
This camera
is
compatible with Windows XP. Before installing the Twain Driver, the
computer may have a warning message that says the software has not passed the
Windows Logo test. At this time, you will have to manually set up Microsoft Windows
Hardware Compatibility (See Fig. Below). If you choose not to do the manual set
up, you may just ignore the warning message and keep installing the software.
Please follow these instructions step by step to manually set up Microsoft
Windows Hardware Compatibility:
1. Right-click on the “My computer” icon and click on “Property.”
2. Check the “Hardware” tab and click the “Driver Signing” button.
3.
a. Click the default setting “Warn-Prompt me each time
to choose an action” if you want the computer to display
the warning message whenever you install new software.
b. Click the “Ignore-Install the software anyway and don’t ask for my
approval” if you don’t need the reminder warning message
when you install new software.
4. Click “OK” to complete the Microsoft XP Hardware Compatibility setup.
