Attaching an External Display
To install the display driver:

Note:
When installing an operating system,
you must install the display driver
before you can use an external
display.
The LCD of the computer can display information in SVGA mode
(800-by-600 resolution) in 65 536 colors.
A maximum of 1024-by-768 resolution can be produced on any
attached external display that supports the resolution mode.
Warning:
When you select Both, do not
attach an external display that
supports only VGA mode
(640-by-480 resolution).
Otherwise, the external display
screen will be scrambled and the
output will not be displayed, or the
screen might be damaged.
To attach an external display:

Change the display mode to CRT or Both.
(See “Changing the Display Mode” on page 171.)

Set your monitor type and display device driver.
(See “Setting the Monitor Type and the Display Driver” on
page 172.)

Attach the external display to the computer.
