Select the Update ProtecTIER Code option. Type the corresponding number
and press Enter.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to prepare the server for the capacity
upgrade.
a. When the message
Locating the CDROM device...done
displays, put the
ProtecTIER code disk in the DVD tray, close the tray and press Enter
b. After the disk mounts, the code package is extracted.
Mounting... done
Extracting the code package...
c. After the system extracts the new code package, the following output
displays:
Copying files...
Copied.... 100% Done
d. If a previous code package exists, the following message displays:
There are 1 older packages on the system.
Would you like to clear them? (y/[n]) :
Type
y
and press Enter. When the message
Removing packages...done
displays, the older package has been successfully removed.
e.
Remove the disk from the drive and press Enter to proceed.
4. A prompt might ask if you want to stop the VTFD service and continue. Type
yes
to continue.
