In addition to extending the distance between the SST Adapter and the
Expansion Modules, EBCs may be used to extend the distance
between adjacent Expansion Modules as shown in Figure 1-6.

The maximum distance between the Serial I/O Adapter and the first
Expansion Module is 200 feet (61m). The maximum distance
between Expansion Modules is also 200 feet (61m).
